Outdoor Counselling
for Adults

In Vancouver and Nanaimo

Two people walking and talking on a forest trail surrounded by green trees and ferns, wearing outdoor jackets and backpacks.
Thoughts come clear while one walks.

While many people enjoy the comfort of having therapy sessions online from their own home, some people think and speak more freely when they are on the move. For that reason, many of my Vancouver and Nanaimo area clients prefer to walk with me on the trails outdoors. Rest assured, you can move between walk-and-talk and online sessions as per your comfort and do not have to stick with one or the other.

My walk-and-talk therapy practice, formerly known as Vancouver Walk and Talk Therapy, has been featured in many articles and interviews. Click below to learn more.

I have always been a listener at heart. Deep listening is one of the most powerful gifts one human being can give to another

I believe that there is always hope, always a way forward. I am particularly drawn to working with people experiencing anger, anxiety, depression, isolation, relationship stress and loss of meaning at midlife.

Whether you’re managing work stress, facing retirement, experiencing some loss, or simply feeling off-balance, I’m here to support you.

What You Can Expect
When Working With Me

My approach is always collaborative. I tailor our sessions to meet your unique needs and goals. Clients often say that they feel deeply seen and heard by me, and that they appreciate my calm, curious, and compassionate manner.

When I work with clients, I come to notice hidden beliefs they hold about themselves and the patterns of behaviour that come from them. I draw a client’s attention to the way these patterns and these beliefs interfere with what they say they want for their lives. Helping clients see all of this leads to gradual self-awareness. And that is the first step on the path toward lasting, real change.
